There's a new driving force in the battle against pet overpopulation: Arizona's new "pet-friendly" license plates are now available.

The Roberta Wright Medical Fund
Roberta Wright This winter Spay and Neuter Solutions was honored to receive a very generous donation from the family of Roberta Wright. Roberta was a tireless activist who dedicated her life to advocating for animal welfare through education and action. She was a vegan who devoted her time and energy to supporting organizations that served and protected animals. Roberta was dedicated to ending animal suffering. She fostered animals with medical needs for PACC and nursed them back to health. Roberta was a friend of Spay and Neuter Solutions and in recognition of her life of action for animals we have renamed our medical fund the Roberta Wright Medical Fund.
The Roberta Wright Medical Fund will pay for additional procedures that veterinarians perform while the pet is under anesthesia for spay or neuter surgeries. These include spay/neuter complications like cryptorchid, hernias, and injuries sustained during rescue or from being on the streets for a while.
The Pretty Boy McTavish Fund will now be directed to TNR (Trap Neuter Return). Longtime supporters of Spay and Neuter Solutions may remember that PBMcT was a feral cat that rejected opportunities to enter a trap for 7 months. Once he was trapped, he entered the home and heart of a Spay and Neuter Solutions staff member. Because Spay and Neuter Solutions has now partnered with the Humane Society of Southern AZ to offer TNR services to colony caregivers, we felt it was appropriate to name that project the PBMcT TNR Fund.
Thank you to the family of Roberta Wright for selecting Spay and Neuter Solutions as a recipient of this most generous donation. This will allow us to honor Roberta as we continue our work to serve pets in our community.
